Showcase your smile, not your braces!
The Incognito™ invisible braces allow for the correction of dental misalignments, even pronounced ones, in an invisible manner. Lingual orthodontic appliances are thus a discreet alternative to traditional fixed braces—ideal for adolescents and adults with high aesthetic requirements for dental correction.
Incognito™ Orthodontist Geneva, discreetly transform your smile
At the Dental Geneva clinic, for invisible braces placed behind the teeth (lingual orthodontics), we have chosen the INCOGNITO™ technique, where the brackets are custom-made by the 3M laboratory.
Lingual means “facing the tongue,” which means that the ultra-flat supports of lingual braces are attached to the inner surface of the teeth instead of the outer surface. The lingual dental appliance is therefore not visible from the outside, unlike clear braces for adults or traditional metal braces.
Thanks to its perfect fit, this technique allows for the treatment of minor and complex malocclusions as effectively as with a traditional visible orthodontic appliance; as a significant bonus, the Incognito™ system can be worn by both adolescents and adults. However, it is generally patients already established in professional life who require moderate to long-term treatment that favor this invisible technique.

Incognito™, a tailor-made treatment
Every element—supports, brackets, and wire arches—is adapted to the nearest millimeter to the shape of your teeth and jaw. This custom manufacturing guarantees both high stability and effectiveness of the dental correction, as well as a high level of wearing comfort. Unlike mass-produced traditional external braces, we ensure that the teeth remain in their new position over the long term, even after the supports are removed.
How does lingual orthodontics work?
Once the dental misalignment is diagnosed, we take an impression of the teeth to create a 3D mold of your jaws. This mold is used to manufacture the bracket supports, which will be custom-made in a high-quality (hypoallergenic) gold alloy. A computer-controlled bending robot will give the arches a perfect 3D fit. This patented manufacturing process ensures an extremely thin profile for the attachments and therefore optimal wearing comfort.
The wire arches are then firmly attached to the brackets. The orthodontist will adjust them at regular intervals according to the progress of the treatment to move the teeth into the desired position. After treatment, the braces are removed without leaving potential decalcification spots on the teeth.

Duration of treatment with the lingual technique
Depending on the patient and the degree of jaw and tooth misalignment, treatment with the lingual technique can last from a few months to several years. Initial improvements in alignment are generally visible after only a few weeks. In contrast, more significant dental corrections often require more time. In these cases, the duration of treatment can be up to four years.
At the end of the treatment, the lingual dental appliance is replaced by a nighttime retainer, which ensures the long-term stability of the new position of the teeth.
